The city of Chania is the capital of the Prefecture by the same name (Chania) and the second largest city of the island of Crete. Chania offers many choices for eat and drink in Greek taverns as well as modern cafes (several of which are open well into the night). The heart of the city lies in its old town which centers around the harbor. It is characterized by a maze of small alleyways and homes that have been standing for several hundreds of years. The closest beach to the old town is Nea Hora which is approximately a 1 klm walk to the west of the historic center. If your goal while visiting the island is to see the 'real Crete' rather than the night life aimed at the tourists, then you must visit one of the island's many traditional villages.

(Our Crete transfers services also cover Crete Ports to connect with cruise ships and day trip customers.)
